Feliz dia da Poesia, colegas escritores!

No man is an island

No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as a manor of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

John Donne

  1. Oi Ana
    Espero que você goste
    Com certeza ele não gostaria, mas já morreu mesmo (1600), então lá vai:

    No man is an island WITHOUT A WOMAN

    No man is an island entire of itself; every man AND A WOMAN
    is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; ... SHE REMAIN;
    if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe NOT A WOMAN
    is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as LIKE A WOMAN
    well as a manor of thy friends or of thine INNER WOMAN
    own were; any man's death diminishes me, BUT A WOMAN,
    because I am involved in mankind. WHY NOT WOMANKIND
    And therefore never send to know for whom FOR WOMEN
    the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. THE WOMAN
    John Donne AND SHE DOES

Mas com certeza 'John Donne and she does' foi genial! haha
    "John Donne, Anne Donne, Undone."

    Obrigada por visitar-nos!
